National ENQ Reports: As Coronavirus Lockdown Measures Continue in the U.S. and Worldwide, People Immune to COVID-19 Want to Be Active and Return to Work

In the United States, official numbers show coronavirus (COVID-19) cases have passed the 500,000 mark, with fatalities accounting for more than 20,000. As reported coronavirus recoveries in the U.S. have passed 30,000 and are increasing each day, they join a potentially much larger number of people cured of coronavirus (COVID-19), in an unclear, stand-by state.

More and more research and experts are proving that the people who from recovered coronavirus (COVID-19) are immune, due to developing coronavirus antibodies, as an aftermath of the disease, but they’re stuck at home because of the lockdowns, with most wanting to go back to work and resume their daily activities.

As New York City struggles to contain the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, with local reported cases almost reaching 100,000 and more than 6,000 deaths, its hospitals, clinics, makeshift hospitals, morgues and improvised morgues are more than overwhelmed – recently popped up imagery depicted Hart Island mass burials in trenches and wooden coffins.

While NYC and many other cities and states continue to try and grapple control over the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), countless Americans are questioning why California, which, at this point, is a global power, along with Los Angeles and San Francisco, wasn’t hit that hard by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

With its reported numbers of coronavirus cases, recoveries and fatalities barely rising, compared to NYC and other places in the United States which have been severely impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, California and its mild COVID-19 situation brings many questions to the table.

Experts and researchers at Stanford University have started backing the fact that California was faced with its own coronavirus epidemic in fall 2019, which was handled like a flu outbreak – currently, it’s believed that the majority of the population of California was exposed to COVID-19, which resulted in herd immunity.

Sweden, which hasn’t been exposed to any previous coronavirus outbreaks and has been exposed to COVID-19 at the same time with all other European countries, has never actually applied any lockdown measures and they have already successfully achieved herd immunity for most of its inhabitants.

Although reported numbers may seem worrying at first, most of the people that have, or have had the coronavirus (COVID-19) in Sweden have shown mild to no symptoms and haven’t tested for the disease, which let them continue their daily activities and work, while developing antibodies and herd immunity with the rest of the population – approaching the disease like another common cold, without the need of a lockdown and letting your body develop antibodies and become immune might be the best way to fight the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Leaving out the people who’ve previously caught the coronavirus, have recovered and are now immune, more and more people want to return to their daily lives and resume work, which can and will result in the creation of coronavirus (COVID-19) antibodies and the development of herd immunity, but lockdowns in the United States and all over the world are only barriers for them.

Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and, at the same time, a member of President Donald J. Trump’s White House Coronavirus Task Force, mentioned that the government could issue immunity certificates to the ones immune to the coronavirus, after he stated that FDA approved blood tests for finding COVID-19 antibodies will be issued by U.S. health officials, in order to identify the Americans who can resume their daily activity and return to work.

The coronavirus antibody tests will reveal the existence of immune proteins in the blood, created as an aftermath of a COVID-19 infection – coronavirus (COVID-19) antibodies are created even if the previously infected person never went through any symptoms. Although recent and ongoing, research confirms that these antibodies can be further extracted and used for patients with active cases of coronavirus, in order to boost the treatment and help the immune system regain power and control in the fight against COVID-19.

President Donald J. Trump mentioned that determining when lockdown measures and social distancing guidelines should be lifted is “the biggest decision I’ve ever had to make.” Referring to the U.S., President Trump stated “we want to get it open as soon as we can.”
